Assignment #7

For me my halloween was spent at church but it was not "You just had to dress as a Bible character instead of a Ninja Turtle. But you still got candy, you still got to bob for apples and you probably even carved a  pumpkin with a cross carved in it." I got to dress up how ever I wanted to and we had clowns there sometimes ( Not so much after my friends and I attacked him by jumping out of the bounce house onto his back.) And I got to carve whatever I could manage to pull off. Now I know that my parents didn't let me go trick or treating because the thought that at my young age I would believe in all the costumes. Yes before halloween was a pagan holiday but if we say we can't celebrate it then we are being hypocritical because christmas was once a pagan holiday but we turned it into a christan one. I view that halloween is ok to celebrate, if your heart is focus on God then there shouldn't be any temptetions to believe in the dark side of halloween that you can't handle.
